Founded in 1980 Innovate Space was originally known as Melac Services Limited
with its core business activity being Mechanical & Electrical contracting.
Melac Services Limited became British Airports Authority’s (BAA’s) longest serving
maintenance contractor enjoying a 13 year stay after an initial appointment of
3 years at Gatwick Airport.
The introduction of James Smithers as Managing Director in 2003 led the company
into the much broader field of fit-out & refurbishment of offices, residential &
retail properties as well as new build construction projects.
Capitalising on the fact that the company already had a directly employed workforce,
Innovate Space has been able to expand its operation by offering a reliable service
through its own in-house highly experienced professionals.
Through high standards of workmanship and attention to detail the company has
gained a reputation for delivering quality projects time and time again.
